The Connection Team is a group of volunteers who remember what it was like to be the new guy. They remember what it was like to be searching for truth, community, and reality. The Connection Crew connects guests, regular attenders, and members to the various aspects of theGATHERING and First Euless

Description:

As a volunteer you will assist people in finding a connection class, joining a community group, learning about membership and baptism and discovering ways to serve.

Time Commitment:

The Connection desk is open 30 minutes prior to Sunday Connection and Wednesday Gathering. Aspects of the volunteer work, however, take place during the week–connecting first time visitors and regular attenders–via facebook, phone, or cup of coffee. Volunteers can serve on a monthly or bi-weekly basis.

Within the Connection Crew, there are three specific needs:

Greeter

Self-explanatory!  You’re the first touch, the first face someone sees when they walk in the front door. No pressure, but first impressions matter big time! You naturally make people feel welcome and connect the visitor with other folks in the group.

Usher

You’re there to make sure we have enough seating. You’re a people mover–everyone congregates at the front door, you politely get them to move. Everyone sits in the back because they’re late, you get the people who arrive early to sit in the front. Yup, that’s you.

Assimilate

You’re the ones moving people from being a visitor to an attender, from an attender to a member, from a member to a server. Connecting people with community groups, giving information about membership and baptism, and helping people to find places to serve in the church.
