Alas, the old email that you’d receive every Monday… has been replaced, tanked, put on the sidelines. You know by now that our offices are small potatoes. Putting everything in one place will streamline things for us and make it more effective for you while saving some cash along the way–SCORE!
Here is how you get the email on a weekly basis: Click Here and then click “Get theGathering through Email.” One and DONE! You’ll then get the updates via email. Don’t worry, we don’t send out a million updates a week.
March 19th – You Decide Chill Time -
There is still time to vote on the poll on the homepage. You decide what we’re going to be doing Friday, March 19th. This, as with all of our events, is open to ALL 18-35 Year old singles. The voting closes on Wednesday. We’ll then notify you via facebook invite.
Calendar of Events – Big things are a brewing around the office! We don’t want to give away all of the details, but we’re pretty stoked (yes, I just said stoked) about some of the things coming down the pike. Go ahead and put these dates on your calendar, move some things around, make sure they have priority over… EVERYTHING!
MARCH 17 theGATHERING -
We will be meeting this week. Worship, Word, and Rita’s! We’re continuing our trek through the gospel. If you’ve missed a week, catch up on Itunes. You did know, of course, that theGATHERING is now a podcast on Itunes, right? Go here, subscribe, and if you miss a week or missed a point… go back and check it out.
APRIL 2&4 -Death to Life – Good Friday and Easter -
It’s quickly approaching. Get the word out. There are cards everywhere for you to engage your friends, coworkers, or family. Leave them in the locker at the gym, on the table along with a good tip, hand off in the drive through at Starbucks, or rent a plane and disperse them throughout Southlake. Down with the HOA, put up a sign in your yard (we have them at theGATHERING on Wed). You get the point. Community Groups, this is a perfect opportunity to engage.
APRIL 7 CONVERGE -
The Wednesday after Easter, Jon Webb is going to bringing some of his wicked, awesome friends to lead us in worship. It’ll be kicking, as we celebrate the cross and resurrected life together. Put it on your calendar, begin raising the awareness, start getting people psyched about it. Who knows, if it goes well… it could be a permanent fixture around these parts.
APRIL 16 – THE ROCK AND WORSHIP ROADSHOW -
Gonna join several thousand at American Airline’s Center, ride the train downtown, and worship with Crowder, Steve Fee, FAmily Force 5 and some other folks. Put it on your calendar. 10 Bucks for the concert.
Sidenote-18-35 Year old Singles (Singles | University | ONE) -
Will y’all keep praying about this one? God has been bringing some university folks into our midst that are oblivious to the change. They have just glided right in and gotten plugged into groups. Yet, there is still an underlying current of disengagement from college students that have been around the church for awhile. Pray that God would unite our hearts. Please pray that God would mobilize us–all 18-35 Year Olds–to reach our friends from the past and present. If you remember what life was like in college and want to come alongside a university student, we so need you to do it now! Email us or call us at the office; we’ll hook you up.
