One of the primary ways of getting involved and connected into the life of First Euless and theGATHERING is through service. You may have believed the lie that there is a seperation between what is sacred and what is secular. Please know, God has niquely wired believers with gifts, talents and passions. You don’t have to be a teacher or a sound professional to serve. God has also equipped each believer with these aspects of their life in order to bring glory to Him through serving.
Taking on the posture of Christ, the Servant to All, in their church, city and world.
Our hope is that we would cultivate the same attitude described in Philippians 2:3, doing “nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility counting others more significant than ourselves.”
As you feel led to call Jesus your Lord, you’ll take on His heart of service as a manifestation of the Gospel DNA. As you begin to call theGAHTERING and First Euless your church home, service will inevitably become a part of your life’s worship. It is only through serving that the Lord establishes us and gives us opportunity to use the gifts with which He has equipped us for the building up of the body of Christ. The church is the hope of the world because it’s members are the carriers of the Gospel, infecting others through their works of service. You are a vital part, as a member of the body of Christ, to that process.
Allow God to guide you to the ministry in which He has created and designed you to serve. Don’t be afraid to step out and try something new. Every member is a vital part of the body. God always enable you to do what He calls you to do.
The following are some gut checks for you in regards to service:
- Am I willing to answer the call to ministry, even in the smallest of ways?
- Am I using my time and talents to accomplish the ministry God has for me?
- Am I living a life of gratitude by joyfully donating a portion of my time and talent back to God?
